We had great participation rate in this course. Thanks for sticking it out despite a few technical glitches. MOOCs are still largely experimental, and this course was no exception. We were the first course to try to incorporate peer editing—and clearly the editing tools need some refining. We will be working on improving several aspects of the course for future iterations including implementing tools to detect plagiarism and upgrading the tools for peer editing. Thanks everyone for your patience, for your helpful feedback, and for being a “guinea pig” in this grand experiment.
It’s been quite a busy term for me at Stanford this fall and I apologize that I could not respond to more of the discussion forum threads. Thanks to all the students who took the time to provide excellent answers and workarounds to their peers.
